SPIN celebrates its Official Grand Opening with Boston Bruins, David Pastrnak and New England Patriot, Matthew Judon

DAVID PASTRNAK & MATTHEW JUDON CELEBRATED SPIN BOSTON’S GRAND WITH A PING PONG SHOWDOWN

The brand toasted to the Boston community with an epic night of custom cocktail creations, dj set by DJ Liz, STIGA US prizes and an over the top ping pong show.

On Friday, October 21, 2022, SPIN, the network of ping pong social clubs known for its unique combination of art, entertainment and sports all under one roof, officially welcomed the Boston community (after quietly opening its doors during the pandemic) for its Grand Opening. A diverse and energetic crowd celebrated alongside tastemakers David Pastrank, Matthew Judon, Jason Talbot, DJ Liz, Soo Yeon Lee, Mathieu Forget, @BostonBeaMan (Harmon), Maggie Wiatr, Tommy Guarino, Madeleine Abeid. 

Located in Boston’s scenic waterfront and the historic Fort Point District, SPIN Boston opened at 7PM for an exclusive two hour celebration, prior to opening for the public. VIP guests, media and influencers arrived for the early hour entry and made their way past SPIN's signature graffiti art, thanks to local hometown artist BlindFox, to the official party.

Attendees enjoyed a special menu including a build your own Lobster Rolls station, Housemade Chips with a special SPIN twist of Old Bay or Falafel Spice and SPINs signature “Snack Attack” which included an explosion of Pringles, Popcorn, a variety of candy and a wall covered in an assortment of flavored pretzels.  The event showed off SPIN’s holiday menu offering and guests had the opportunity to taste items available for private and corporate events. The locally curated menu consisted of dishes such as; Fried Cheese Curd Cones with Guava sauce, Mini Fenway Hot Dogs with classic mustard and relish and Fried Chicken Banh Mi Sandwiches. A highlight of the evening included SPIN’s Chief Robot Mixologist, ADAM, who served up a signature cocktail, the Marty Reisman. Guests were amazed at how ADAM seamlessly crafted cocktails from the addition of a black sea salt rim to pouring the Maestro Dobel Tequila and Creyente Mezcal and serving, ADAM was a crowd favorite. SPIN’s seasonal drinks Curious George, Truly Wicked, The Lob and BackSPIN were flowing all night while guests danced to beats by hometown favorite, DJ Liz. These specialty cocktails will be available for all SPIN guests through December 1st. 

Artists for Humanity Co-Founder and Director, Jason Talbot  brought the Boston city skyline to life with a live art installation in SPIN’s signature private room. This live art installation will be a permanent fixture at SPIN Boston.

At 9:00PM, SPIN opened its doors to the public and guests had the opportunity to watch as co-hosts Boston Bruins Right Winger David Pastrnak aka “Pasta” and New England Patriots linebacker, Matthew Judon faced off head to head at center court in an epic ping pong showdown. As guests watched and were enthralled by the close match, attendees were surprised and served concession snacks courtesy of New England favorites; UTZ Potato Chips, Grillos Pickles on a stick, Unreal Candy,  warm pretzels by Eastern Standard and Culture Pop soda.

Throughout the evening, Artists for Humanity Co-Founder and Director, Jason Talbot  brought the Boston city skyline to life with a live art installation in SPIN’s signature private room. This live art installation will be a permanent fixture at SPIN Boston. The worlds favorite table tennis brand STIGA US, surprised & delighted guests with an immersive experience nostalgic of an athletes locker room where guests drew their luck at winning STIGA US prizes such as rackets, gift sets and sleek backpacks.

SPIN toasted to its official new home in true SPIN fashion, the evening was the perfect mix highlighting art, ping pong and the Boston community. The evening brought together the best in food, entertainment, and of course – ping pong.
