STIGASports Founder, Bengt Bandstigen, Passes Away at 81

"Dear valued customers and partners,

It is with a heavy heart that I write to share the sad news of the passing of Bengt Bandstigen, the esteemed founder of what is today known as STIGASports. Bengt passed away on Monday, March 4th, after a period of illness, at the age of 81.

Bengt was not merely the foundation upon which STIGASports was built; he was an extraordinary individual whose ingenuity, warmth, humor, and remarkable entrepreneurial spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. His innovative vision and passion have been a guiding light for us, teaching us the importance of constantly seeking improvement. His absence will be profoundly felt, and our thoughts are with his wife, Maud, and his family during this difficult time.

As we remember Bengt, we reflect on his immense contribution not just to STIGASports but to the world of table tennis and beyond. His legacy will continue to inspire us, and we commit to honoring his memory by upholding the values and the standards he set.

In closing, we extend our deepest sympathies to Bengt’s family and to all who knew him. Let us celebrate his life and the indelible mark he has left on our community.

With heartfelt condolences,"
