A regulation table tennis table is 9 feet by 5 feet, but players need additional space around the table to move, serve, and return shots comfortably. For competitive-style play, a larger room is recommended, while recreational players can use a smaller playing area depending on their available space and playing style. To clean a STIGA table tennis table, use a soft cloth and a cleaner appropriate for the tabletop material. Avoid abrasive cleaners, excessive moisture, or harsh chemicals that could damage the playing surface. Always follow the care and maintenance instructions provided with your specific STIGA table. Yes. STIGA outdoor tables are designed primarily for outdoor use but can also be used indoors. Their weather-resistant construction makes them versatile for players who want a table that can move between environments.

For smaller rooms, game rooms, apartments, and multipurpose spaces, consider a compact or midsize STIGA table. Models such as the Aluminum Midsize and Space Saver are designed to provide table tennis fun while taking up less space than a traditional regulation-size table.

Tabletop thickness affects the consistency and quality of ball rebound. Thicker tops generally provide a more consistent playing surface, which is particularly important for serious and competitive players. STIGA performance tables range up to a 30mm tabletop, while recreational models use thinner tops for a balance of performance, weight, and affordability.

STIGA QuickPlay tables are designed to make setup faster and easier. Many QuickPlay models arrive approximately 95% preassembled and can be ready to play in about 15 minutes or less, depending on the model.

Many STIGA tables are designed with storage in mind. Folding table halves, independent chassis designs, lockable casters, and compact storage dimensions make it easier to move and store select models when they're not being used.
